Aaron Johnson Confirmed as Quicksilver in "Avengers: Age of Ultron"

Aaron Johnson Confirmed as Quicksilver in "Avengers: Age of Ultron"Submit Comment
Ever since Joss Whedon revealed that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will introduce the brother/sister team of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, rumors immediately pointed to Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy) as the actors in talks for the roles.

It has already been confirmed that Olsen will play the Scarlet Witch, and now comes word that Johnson has worked out his schedule and signed the deal to play Quicksilver.

The character will also appear in "X-Men: Days of Future Past," but will be played a different actor. "We both have them," Marvel head Kevin Feige said of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. "There's a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with 'Avengers,' but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto's relatives, but cannot have anything to do with 'The Avengers.'"

That's cool, but at this point and until further information, Captain America has my interest.

No sh*t. I'm hardly surprised. Btw, Marvel is once again one step ahead of DC in promoting their speedsters.

Interesting, Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are both in the upcoming Godzilla movie as well as Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I'm not sure why Marvel has such a hard-on for having these two characters in The Avengers, especially since they're characters of no particular interest on their own without the story related connection to Magneto and the mutant/X-Men history.

Could they not have come up with a more practical plot-point substitute for 'guy-who-runs-fast' and 'probability-altering-girl'? Just seems like they're making a continuity mess for no good reason.
