Gerard Butler Returns for "Olympus Has Fallen" Sequel, Called "London Has Fallen"Submit Comment
Gerard Butler's "Olympus Has Fallen" was released in March and went on to gross $161 million on a budget of $70 million. A similar themed film, Channing Tatum's "White House Down" was released three months later failing to make a profit.

Clearly there's not much interest in these type of movies, but Millennium Films has just announced that it's working on a sequel to "Olympus Has Fallen," whcih will be called "London Has Fallen."

Katrin Benedikt and Creighton Rothenberger are returning to provide the script, which will focus on Mike Banning (Butler) as he teams with an MI6 agent during a terrorist strike at the British Prime Minister's funeral.

Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett and Radha Mitchell are also in talks to star. Production is set to begin on May 5th, 2014.

Why the f*ck would everyone else come back along with Butler if it's taking place in London? Are they doing this because the new season of 24 is in London?

Zzzzzzzz.......

Not sure who is more desperate for a new franchise; Millennium Films or Gerard Butler.

Maybe the three people who liked this movie will buy tickets to the sequel.

@pornfly: you're more than welcome, bud.

As for the news...lol. At least the original title had some interest as it used a supposed codeword (Olympus) for the White House, but London Has Fallen has no such connotations whatsoever.
