Details About Ben Affleck's Costume and Batmobile for "Batman for Superman"

Details About Ben AffleckSubmit Comment
Director Zack Snyder said numerous times that his "Man of Steel" films don't take place in the same universe as Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy. And because Snyder will have a new Batman in "Batman vs Superman" and a new actor (Ben Affleck) to play him, several sources are reporting that Batman will have a new costume and Batmobile.

According to CBM and Batman-On-Film, General Motors is designing and building the Batmobile, which will not look like the Tumbler from Nolan's movies. In fact, it won't have a military look at all. Meanwhile, Affleck's costume will also change and will resemble the character's look in the 2011 graphic novel "Batman: Noel" (pictured above).

CBM says that Henry Cavill received his copy of the "Batman vs Superman" script last week. His suit will also be altered and currently has two teams developing the slightly different design.

So,is this means that superman will wear his red underpants and Batman goes for The classic Gray suit?

Snyder's movies always have pretty awesome production design...or rather, design in general, so I'm sure the end result will have plenty of "cool" to go around.

Batman for Superman is alex's gay-fantasy version starring him and dustin.

Wait so Goyer makes Superman more "realistic", if you can call it that, and then decides to make Batman less realistic? I call bullsh*t!!!

I don't get it. Why did WB and DC go to the trouble of making three Nolan Batman films only to retire the Caped Crusader and seal the trilogy off from whatever they planned on doing next, which up to this point looks little else like more Zach Snyder and Goyer tearing up the screen with incoherent explosive exposition, a la Man of Steel?

What a bizarre strategy. Marvel's building actual castles in the sky, DC is toying with their navel lint.

Whatever.

Great start...the comic's suit with an updated Batmobile...

Nolan's versions were OK. The tumbler was just too bulky and not really...ahem...realistic. Batman to be undetected in that? Didn't buy it...

I know Nolan's suit was more practical, lighter, and more manageable for stunts...an improvement on the first, but I wasn't too crazy about the suit either. I think they could've done it better...I'm not saying, bring back the bat-nipples! But something in the vein of Nolan's and Burton's versions. (Everyone knows how Burton's suit had made Keaton impossible to turn his head, had to turn his whole body)

The whole iffy thing for me with Affleck is just...is he going to give Batman a different and fresh interpretation of the iconic role like Bale? Or is he just gonna play Affleck doing Batman? Affleck's acting sensibilities are the real things being called into question...

Snyder's judgement is also draws nervousness after Superman reboot. His Watchmen days of casting (perfect IMO) are over and Goyer has warped of what Superman should have been.

I really think this World's Finest union is ill advised and if I was a studio hack, would have left it as an Ace under the sleeve served better after a MOS trilogy...if MOS was good, it'd be icing on the cake. If MOS sucked, it'd be the saving grace.

DC is just too concentrated in competing with Marvel instead really focusing on taking care of its major character movie players and leave the audiences wanting more...not asking for petition to stop it from happening.
