They way Peter Jackson has sat on his lazy fat ass, milking Tolkien's books while receiving tax incentives from New Zealand, and the way the media has further whored out the author's vision makes me physically ill, even if the book's endless fans genuinely feel Jackson has done Tolkien cinematic justice.

Enough already, Jackson. Stop wasting your prodigious talent on easy money, you fat, hirsute bastard.

I wonder if there is there a version of these without the stupid text over it.

"The Desolation of Smaug"

Still the funniest most-retarded franchise sequel title ever.

@Mink

I'm not sure I follow you here. What makes you think Jackson is being "lazy" in all of these. If you simply don't care for the films, that's cool. But I'd reckon helming a three-movie project of this scale requires a hell of a lot more than just sitting around on one's ass.

Wow mink. Fat and lazy?? You forgot gay, or are you toning that trash talk down?

@Cannon: lazy by going for the easy gold, the low-hanging fruit, not lazy as in he isn't/hasn't working/worked his ass off to make six films based on a few of Tolkien's works.

By all of that I mean...Jackson should direct something that pushes and challenges him. At this point, making a Lord of the Rings movie should be like taking a dump for the guy.

He's wasting his talents in favor of easy money, lucrative tax incentives and films that really don't have to impress or raise the proverbial bar to win over critics. They're safe and easily filmed.

Jackson should move on as quickly as he can lest he be forever known as nothing more than the "Tolkien director" in the footnotes of Hollywood history.

Jesus. Get that At the Mountains of Madness thing going, if nothing else.

@Stoooop: and "gay". Happy now that I included your demographic in my criticisms?
