Female Version of "The Expendables" in Talks With Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz and Milla Jovovich

Female Version of "The Expendables" in Talks With Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz and Milla JovovichSubmit Comment
Producer Avi Lerner has been working on an all-female spin-off of his "The Expendables" franchise, called "Expendabelles." And now, he has revealed that Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz and Milla Jovovich are in talks to join the film.

"The action movie will be spectacular - and [not] inferior to 'The Expendables,'" said Lerner. "There will be battles, special [effects], visual effects and stunts - the spectacle will be equivalent to what Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis and Jean-Claude Van Damme have done... Two excellent screenwriters are already working on the picture. Now we are in search of a female director."

The story will take place in Brunei, with the women going up against a villain in the richest country in the world. The plan is to begin shooting next year and have the film in theaters in 2015.

Sound f*ckin' stupid. What's the movie's title gonna be? The Expendabelles?

Oh, come on. This is just rediculous. Streep and Jovovich together doing an action movie? Please.

If they reall, REALLY, wanna make a female Expendables movie ...just cast Sigourney Weaver with a gun. That's it. Done.

But who would play the female?

I'm telling Weaver you said that. She's gonna come get you, Avirex. She's gonna come get you.

Boogiel, please tell me you are kidding, and you actually read the article.

Why don't they just make a Charlie's Angels 3?

I wouldn't mind this movie if they toss Angelina Jolie, Zoe Saldana, Gina Carano, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Pam Grier in the movie, and make it just as bloody as the Expendables.
minkowski writes:

Michelle Rodriquez. That is all.
CelluloidMan writes:

My version would be...

Milla Jovovich
Michelle Rodriguez
Sigourney Weaver
Zoe Bell(the stunt woman)
Cynthia Rothrock
Linda Hamilton
Gina Carano
Regina King
Uma Thurman
and the debut of Rhonda Rowdy Rousey?...

Some variation of that, IMO. I'd watch that.

But the "Expendabelles"?!! What a p*ssy (pun intended) name.

How about the "The Mer-c*nts of Death"?!! Sound pretty good...slap that on a couple of T-Shirts, caps, and movie posters & we're good...
minkowski writes:

I like the title, actually.

It's clean, clear, will fit on a marquee, ties into the existing franchise and markets its unique content concisely.

Oh and Hamilton retired years ago after she got 100 mil from Cameron, so her acting career is terminated.

I bet it will be about the life story of several women going through pregnancy and how they are coping with it - The Expandables
BlackDynamite writes:

Brunei is the richest country in the world? I feel incredibly ignorant, since I've never heard of it.
CelluloidMan writes:

Linda Hamilton could come back...just show her the interest and flash the money.

With the money, they all come....back.
