Robin Williams in Talks to Return for "Night at the Museum 3"

Robin Williams in Talks to Return for "Night at the Museum 3"Submit Comment
Robin Williams is in negotiations to return for the third installment in the "Night at the Museum" franchise, which will begin shooting in February and will bring back Ben Stiller as security guard Larry Daley as well as director Shawn Levy.

Williams has played Teddy Roosevelt in both "Night at the Museum" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" and will reprise the role as the action moves to London. It's still not clear whether Amy Adams, Bill Hader and Christopher Guest will reprise their roles.

The first "Night at the Museum" was released in 2006 and went on to gross $574 million worldwide. The sequel hit theaters three years later, grossing $413 million. Since these films cost around $150 million to make, many wondered whether 20th Century Fox would want to gamble on another installment.

Night at the museum will walk the same path as Hangover..
First - good
Second - less good
Third - sh*tfest

@BJsforeveryone
That tends to happen to movies that basically just repeat the storyline over and over with a one trick pony. Still, at least the second one didn't f*cking rip off EVERY joke from the first one like Hangover did.

easy, use a smaller budget and make the story good, i'm sure 20th century fox can afford to use 2nd rate cgi to make more money if that's their goal...but i won't stop hating on 20th century fox till they give the rights of x-men back to marvel, but it's already been ruined enough so i'm not expecting to be wowed by any future films since they have a reputation of screwing fans over

Both previous films were corny sh*t largely thanks to hack director Levy. No-one should return.

Giving Williams another role in yet another Museum smells like Hollywood welfare to me...dude was never that funny anyway.

His show Crazy Ones is going to barely last a season, so I understand him taking this money.
