Taylor Lautner's "Stretch Armstrong" Movie is Dead

It's been about six years, since we first heard that a movie based on Hasbro's "Stretch Armstrong" toy was in the works. Eventually Steve Oedekerk (Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty) was hired to write a screenplay, Taylor Lautner (Twilight) was attached to star, and a release date of April 15th, 2011 was set.

Since then, Ron Howard signed on to direct, but then dropped out. Immediately after, he was replaced with "The Crazies" helmer Breck Eisner and the release date was pushed to April 11th, 2014.

And now comes that the project has completely fallen apart. "Stretch Armstrong is an incredible character who will make an amazing movie, and we know that Hasbro has some new ideas they are looking at," said Relativity Media. "Relativity and Hasbro have a tremendous relationship, and we decided to focus on other projects. We look forward to continuing to work together."

Stretch Armstrong was introduced as a toy in 1976. It was different from other action figures in the sense that it could be stretched out, twisted and folded but always returned to its original form. The toy had a big relaunch in the 1990s.

In other words, they've decided NOT to make a movie about nothing. Once in a blue moon Hollywood does something not entirely stupid.

In preparation for the role, Lautner constantly tried pulling his penis to his lips.

f*ck they're such terrible liars aren't they??...'decided to focus on other projects'...translation 'we were on meth when we came up with that idea, turns out it was a bad idea'...because it's stupid, nobody will take it seriously in a real world environment, ESPECIALLY with taylor lautner as the lead...plus people would mistake this movie as a mr. fantastic spin off...sorry hasbro but if you want this to work, should have done it in the 80s with hulk hogan...then remade it with dwayne johnson
