China Names Nicolas Cage the Best Global ActorSubmit Comment
China's 2013 Huading Awards took place recently, naming the world's best entertainers. The results are bit surprising, since Nicolas Cage won the Best Global Actor award.

Cage was definitely a top talent many years ago, appearing in such hits as "Leaving Las Vegas," "Face/Off" and "Con-Air." But since the, the actor lost everything and has been starring in "Ghost Rider 2," "Drive Angry," "Season of the Witch," "Bangkok Dangerous" and many other flops. Maybe these newer movies haven't hit China yet.

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman was named the Best Global Actress and Quentin Tarantino the Best Global Director. For some reason, Sam Worthington (Avatar) received the Best Global Action Movie Actor award and Booboo Stewart, who's best known for the last two "Twilight" movies, took home the Best Emerging Global Talent prize.

* Lifetime achievement award (Jeremy Irons)

* Best global actor in motion pictures (Nicolas Cage)

* Best global actress in motion pictures (Nicole Kidman)

* Best global singer (Avril Lavigne)

* Best global director in motion pictures (Quentin Tarantino)

* Best global actor in a TV series (Matthew Perry)

* Best global actress in a TV series (Michelle Docker)

* Best global action movie actor (Sam Worthington)

* Best emerging global talent (Booboo Stewart)

The Chinese must only have a selection of 10 movies, which were purchased from the bargain bin at a local store.

Poland names Joe Piscopo Funniest Man Alive; once again gets invaded by Germany.

Hey these are the guys who want American films they fund to add Chinese subplots to everything. They are a little crazy over there. And should we bring up the old child-limit law they had?
AngryBird writes:

^^Piscopo is still alive??

"And should we bring up the old child-limit law they had?"

Not really sure why as it is a semi-sane law implemented with the express intent of limiting births, and is currently supported by the majority of that nation...

It's nice to see that China enjoys our cheap second rate exports as much as we do their's.
