Director Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown, Orphan, House of Wax) has been working on a horror film, called "Hooked Up," that was shot entirely on an iPhone phone. Today, we have a trailer for the new movie. Watch it below.
Plot: Tonio and Peter, two young Americans, travel to Barcelona to party and, above all, to score with women. During their very first night out partying, they meet some girls that they go home with. There, things will take an unexpected turn. With no possibility of escape, they must face their worse nightmares.
"Hooked Up" is produced by Collet-Serra and is directed by first-time helmer Pablo Larcuen. It will next appear at this month's Sitges Film Festival.
Shot in an iPhone... Yet it utilizes lights (ones that look like tevattachents to any prosumer sony cam such an ex1r) and an external audio device (cause I know an iPhone can't pick up good sound).
I hate this gimmick. So a guy recorded everything on his phone? Bs since I doubt 90 minutes could be recorded.
next we see a movie shot entirely with an android, then will follow a movie shot with an ipad, a LG touch, tablet, and so on and so forth...somehow the film cloverfield is responsible for this new trend of lame film making...leave the story tellers to the ones that tell real stories

Pffft. If they're trying to nail the gimmick found-footage niche market, I'll just wait for the Crayola stop-motion animation, narrated by a retarded McCauley Culkin, instead.

Stop making found footage movies. And if you're going to buy into the stupid trend, have the courtesy of using real cameras. Shooting it on an iPhone may sound innovative, but it's actually just going to cause a headache to the small audience that will actually see this movie.
