Lionsgate has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming "I, Frankenstein" film, based on a comic book and starring Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) as the title character. Check it out below.
Plot: Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein's creation Adam finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
The new movie is written and directed by Stuart Beattie (writer of "GI Joe" and "30 Days of Night"), and is set to hit theaters on January 24th, 2014.

Why is every action movie trailer just a mess of broody voiceover, inception music, and series of messy fake-looking CGI moneyshots?
This looks like the unholy offspring of Van Helsing (2004) and Dungeons & Dragons (2000).

I don't know, this looks a little better than those films for some reason. Eckhart is a better lead than Beckinsale for this type of action and this looks way more serious than Vanhelsing (even if the action looks very similar). I'll watch it.

boogiel said it best. Looks like Underworld + Van Helsing with bits of Blade and Constantine. This will probably be good for streaming on a rainy, hungover Saturday afternoon in a few months and not much else.
