During the premiere of "Agents of SHIELD," Marvel unveiled a new trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" that mentions the events that took place in "The Avengers." Check out the TV spot below.
Plot: The sequel takes place in the aftermath of "Thor" and "The Avengers," following Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as he fights to restore order across the cosmos when an ancient race, led by the vengeful Malekith (Christopher Eccleston), returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
The new movie is directed by Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones") and is set to hit theaters on November 8th.
The only thing I enjoyed about the first was the stunning visuals on Asgard, after that it just literally sent me to sleep. Hopefully this will spend as little time on Earth as possible and I may just make it to the end.

I say it's better than not mentioning it. I mean it happened. And I have to admit that Iron Man 3, while it was played a little bit over the top, utilized it creatively. I have to say I enjoyed the irony. Stark, a man against a military government, has PTSD like a soldier which he even yelled at Captain America as being something he wasn't. Nice little piece of irony to me. And hey, in the case of Thor, it looks like they mention it but it won't be a more focused aspect of the character because Thor is the ultimate soldier so all he has to worry about is excusing himself from his girlfriend why he didn't stop by while he was in the local galaxy. LOL
