First Look: Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Maggie" Zombie FilmSubmit Comment
It was recently revealed that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin (The Call, Zombieland) have signed on to star in "Maggie," and upcoming zombie movie that ended up on the 2011 Black List, which is a list of the best unproduced scripts. And today, Schwarzenegger posted the first set photo to announce the first day of shooting. Check it out below.

In the movie, as a "walking dead" virus spreads across the country, a farm family helps their eldest daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a flesh-eating zombie.

"Maggie" will be directed by commercial helmer Henry Hobson and will have a very modest budget. A release date has yet to be set.

Wow, Ahnuld isnít wasting time making new movies. His check book must've been growing thin.

He looks better by the way. More in shape and skinnier. Course the number of movies he has been doing I can't imagine him having time to get to the local buffet. LOL Still nice to see him get in shape and not looking completely out of place as an action character again.

This really is a rather unusual role for him. I'm still not sure what the tone of the film will be: black comedy, straight drama or somewhere in between. Either way, it sounds more like a character driven thriller (think Signs) than any kind of action spectacle.

And Arnold just looks like a regular guy here.

Good ol' Pornfly - always going straight for the tits. Breslin is a total average looking girl, which means she probably f*cks like a champ.

CANNON
excellent point on which direction this movie is supposed to take
particularly Ahnolds performance
i think Ahnold is the only movie star that i have seen all his films reguardless of genre

I'll go straight for the tits
and you go straight for the deductive common sense
somebody has to, especially since MINK has apparently found some sort of new 'creative outlet' heh heh

This on should help Arnie with that whole irrelevancy thing he has going with the under crowd.

Anyway, not really worried about ether Arnie can pull off the whole ordinary man in extraordinary circ*mstances trope. I figure if Olyphant can shine in Crazies, Arnie can at least do that much. If not, he's worthless.

*one.

At least Arnie's agent has a clue, right?

@Pornfly: well, not really sure it needs to be said that this film won't be anything like World War Z.

The budget is much, much smaller, the plot is far more intimate and simplistic, and if that's not enough to know Maggie will be far less a film of spectacle and more something similar to an exorcist flick (possessed daughter?), just read the synopsis, which basically screams "character driven" and not concatenated string of set pieces like Resident Evil.

I would definitely disagree with Cannon though that it's up for debate as to whether Maggie will be comedic, as nothing we have seen says anything other than a semi-serious and family-oriented take on what happens when someone you love is infected with a zombifying virus.

As for my hobby...don't have one, but as it stands, I'm just trying to find more to do with my free time than bashing Alex and movies I'll likely never watch. Seems pointless.
