Hugh Jackman Says He Almost Played Wolverine in "Spider-Man"

Hugh Jackman Says He Almost Played Wolverine in "Spider-Man"Submit Comment
Film rights to Marvel characters are owned by different studios. 20th Century Fox owns "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four," while Sony owns "Spider-Man." This makes it difficult to have Wolverine or Spider-Man show up in "The Avengers."

But according to Hugh Jackman, after he made his appearance as Wolverine in the first "X-Men" movie, Sony and Fox made a deal for Wolverine to show up in Sam Raimi's first "Spider-Man."

"In the first 'Spider-Man' we really tried to get me to come on and do something, whether it was a gag or just to walk through the shot or something," said the actor. "The problem was, we couldn't find the suit. The suit was stuck in something. And so when they were in New York when I was there, we couldn't get it together."

Couldn't find the Wolverine suit? That's a bizarre reason for something not to happen on big-budget films. But the most important thing to note here is that Sony and Fox figure out a way to get Wolverine into a "Spider-Man" film. Maybe it's time for Marvel to do the same thing.

Great. Another news story about some guy who almost did something. What's next? Adam Sandler was almost Jesus Christ in The Passion of Christ? Zzzzzzz.

Yeah, he should have done his cameo in underwear. You would have really enjoyed that one...

A slightly homoerotic headline.

If Alex hasn't stolen it, it's still news.

Riight. And to think of it, I almost have a cameo in avengers 2.

That missing suit excuse does sound pretty dopey though TBH. If they really could not find it they could have just thrown the secondary costume of the white wifebeater, jeans, snakeskin boots, and random leather or suede jacket to shoot which i'm assuming would be just a cameo and he wore that costume for "Go f*ck Yourselves" in First Class.

The Time Machine (I found At a Yard Sale)

anyone? i only saw one site that said its a good crappy movie
minkowski writes:

Yeah, that might work if it's your film, but the studios/producer has to sign off on that kind of ad hoc sh*t, unless it's a Nolan movie and then you can do whatever the f*ck you want and no one will care.

@Pornfly: the Jeremy Irons one? Yeah, it's alright in parts. Has a very dopey early time travel routine, but the part where he finally skim ahead to 800,000AD is pretty cool, effects wise, and Irons delivers a gifted performance, but everything else semi-sucks, from the Eloi/Morlocks interaction to much of the latter effects. The story in the second and third acts is largely lacking.

Also, all the social commentary is missing so what you get is a pure commercial science-fiction pot-boiler for the masses. Not bad, not good or great either. Just barely enjoyable.

are you people all idiots when he says suit he's mean lawyer and because there was no clearance he couldn't be in the film because the suit (lawyer) we stuck somewhere not his wolverine suit you dumbasses
minkowski writes:

If true, he should probably have said lawyer like all the other seven people on the planet, instead of talking like a f*cking idiot.

And he doesn't mean a LAWYER anyway, you f*cking 'tard. He means an EXECUTIVE, like a STUDIO EXECUTIVE, not a f*cking lawyer, you f*cking retard.

f*cking idiot *sshole.
