Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn to Return for "Terminator 5"?

Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn to Return for "Terminator 5"?Submit Comment
It was recently revealed that Alan Taylor, the director of "Thor: The Dark World," was hired to direct the fifth "Terminator" movie. It was also mentioned that the film will be a reboot, rather than a sequel.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been very vocal about reprising his role, but if the film is a reboot, that may make it difficult for him to return. But now comes word from The Mirror that not only will Schwarzenegger return and is expected to earn over $20 million, but Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn will also reprise their roles.

There have been rumors that "Terminator 5" will have a Terminator sent to the 1950s to assassination Sarah Connor's parents. Schwarzenegger would play a human that protects them and will serve as the inspiration for the T-800 model.

I'm not sure how 66-year-old Schwarzenegger can reprise his role and I definitely don't understand how he can appear in a story that takes place before the first film. Only time will tell whether any of this is true.

The only thing that might save this franchise is a clean, smart reboot, because with each and every sequel the series grows ever more inane.

Reboot, Reebot and Reboot again and again!

What else is new these days?

These two were quite good when they were in their prime but today and taking place in the 50's?!

Whatever.

The Terminator films should have ended with Terminator 2. It came to a proper end and it was a rounded, finished story.

A "reboot" does not mean "remake".

Same difference, it rarely tops the original.

All this aside I wish Michael Biehn had more of a career. I mean I know he was primarily known for his collaboration with James Cameron but the guy has an intensity in all his roles. I mean he sold me in "Terminator" with his war-stricken character. Unfortunately he established himself as a guy who plays only military roles which can only get you so much. Although he was great in that newer movie "The Divide". Guy was insane and hilarious all at once.
