Sam Rockwell Confirms Involvement in "Poltergeist" Reboot

Sam Rockwell Confirms Involvement in "Poltergeist" RebootSubmit Comment
Last month, it was reported that Sam Rockwell was in talks to play the lead role in MGM's upcoming "Poltergeist" reboot. Now, during a new interview, the actor seemingly confirmed his involvement.

When asked if he'll appear in the film, Rockwell replied: "There may be some truth to that. We're trying to make it happen. It's on its way." He went on to say that the reboot will not be a direct re-telling of the original 1982 film, which was directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg. "It's different. The couple is different... I can't say too much, but it's a different invention of their relationship."

Rockwell will play the patriarch of the Bowen family, whose daughter Madison is abducted by supernatural forces. The new movie will be directed by Gil Kenan (Monster House) from a script by David Lindsay-Abaire (Oz: The Great and Powerful). Rosemarie DeWitt co-stars and Sam Raimi is producing.

Ill watch most anything with Sam Rockwell.
I saw A Single Shot last night. The movie itself wasn't that good. Probably around a 6/10, but Rockwell did a great job as usual and I'd recommend it for his performance alone.

Another tale of a possessed house. Zzzzzzz.

Wonder if the guy who invented the house ever thought one day a bunch of idiots would make endless movies on ghosts inhabiting his invention. Probably not.

Houses have been haunted by demons, ghosts, aliens and joe pesci; I see no other possible way this films can be original anymore.

Lots of variations, then. A possessed Reebok shoe. A Possessed toilet. A possessed Big Wheel™. A possessed Big Mac.

I mean the ideas are limitless.

I can see a motion picture in there, "a pair of Possessed Rebook shoes haunt a fat man into fitness while he and his family furiously try to eat bacon to beat the evil shoes".

I'm gonna be so f*cking rich.

Write the script! Write the script!

(Okay, now THAT was actually funny (what you said, coldplay))
minkowski writes:

No, seriously though, why do ghosts always haunt HOUSES? Like, what if they die in the outhouse? Or the flower garden? Or inside the septic tank? Or on little Bobby's three-speed vintage Schwinn with the rainbow-colored handle-bar streamers?

It's a deep and legitimate question and I demand a commensurate answer.

Hey I struggle with your dead language here, gimme a break! And this f*cking phone doesn't help eighter. Anyway, Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy are calling me already, so there's hope lol

What if the guy died at Starbucks? Would the guy use his power for evil and make 'em close because the coffee tastes like pee instead of sh*t?
minkowski writes:
on September 4th, 2013 at 5:22:27 PM

I think if the possessed shoes made them close Starbuck's, that would be more like divine intervention, all those hot daddy-girl baristas be damned.

And why do they call the person pouring your coffee a barista? Sounds like what the Spanish call a public defender.

Oh, wait, that's barrister, and it's English. f*ck.
