"12 Monkeys" TV Series to Begin Shooting in NovemberSubmit Comment
Syfy has announced that it is moving forward with a "12 Monkeys" TV series by greenlighting a 60-minute pilot episode. Production is set to begin in November using a script written by Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett ("Terra Nova"). Jon Cassar ("24") will direct.

The TV series will be based on a 1995 film, which was directed by Terry Gilliam and starred Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. The story follows the journey of a time-traveler (Willis) from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.

Producer Chuck Roven (The Dark Knight, 12 Monkeys) initially submitted the pitch to Syfy, which is already working on ideas for the rest of the series.

I think it was better when it was Quantum Leap.

Decimate is to kill one out of every 10, but yeah.

Decimate: kill, destroy, or remove a large percentage or part of.

Yes, the word originally meant to eliminate one in a group of ten as punishment to the group, but now it means something else/more.

Welcome to the future.

(Alex is actually quite correct here, contrary to the ignorant nitpicker)
