"Act of Valor" Sequel Moving Forward

"Act of Valor" Sequel Moving ForwardSubmit Comment
Last year, directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh teamed with Relativity Media for "Act of Valor," which featured real US Navy SEALS going out on a mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.

The film grossed $81 million worldwide on a budget of $12 million. Apparently that was good enough for the studio, because it's now moving forward with a sequel, which will focus on an elite SWAT officers.

Scott Wiper (The Condemned) is attached to write and direct, while McCoy and Waugh are on board to produce. Relativity Media is also currently developing a TV series based on "Act of Valor."

This film was barely even successful, even by low budget standards.

$81 million on a $12 million budget is decidedly not 'barely even successful', sh*tforbrains. That's a solid hit... I would even wager that the studios would have a hard time making that film look like a loss (which they do for basically EVERY film, successful or not).

By the way, speaking of films making money, Pacific Rimjob has now crossed over $380 million in global box office, meaning not only is it probably in the black, but at this point it'll probably make the studio a neat pile of cash.
