"Guardians of the Galaxy" Comic-Con Trailer Will Never Be Released

"Guardians of the Galaxy" Comic-Con Trailer Will Never Be ReleasedSubmit Comment
During the San Diego Comic-Con and Disney's D23 event, the studio premiered a trailer for Marvel's upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" film. That trailer eventually leaked online, but Disney made sure to quickly take it down.

Even though plenty of people had a chance to see it, they are still waiting for the official version to be released. But in a new interview with director James Gunn, it turns out that Marvel will never show it again.

"Zero percent chance, sorry," said Gunn about the odds of the trailer being released. "I know a lot of you have seen the shaky camera footage, but it was made after twelve days of shooting and isn't a true reflection of the awesomeness we're trying to create for you."

Considering that the footage was put together after only twelve days of filming, Gunn was able to accomplish quite a bit. Check out a few screenshots from the trailer below.

I saw it. Not bad for only 12 days of footage. Its clear Marvel and Gunn are pulling no punches with Guardians.

I don't give a rat's ass if it was made after just 3 days or even a year. The trailer is horrible.

@boogiel

Oh, come on, now. It wasn't any worse than countless other teaser trailers we've seen for completed blockbuster films in recent years. After a mere 12 days work? I say that ain't bad.

Thats all it was really, a teaser. A quick look to build excitement. And thats fine. I think Marvel is doing this the right way marketing wise. Slowly building, getting people aware of a property that is currently not mainstream. But soon will be and this is gonna be an expensive film so this is what its gonna take for the movie to be successful. Its all about interest and awareness.

Pretty sure he had plenty of help. Alex...

12 days of filming and they already had the cgi for Groot and Rocket Raccoon up and done?

I do think this has the potential to be a fun sci fi flick, one that i'll be first in line to catch.

That's a lot of footage just for 12 days. Looks like it'll be a good action film.
