Forbes magazine unveiled its list of top-earning authors from last year, with "Fifty Shades of Grey" writer EL James taking the top spot with a whopping $95 million, beating such authors as James Patterson and Stephen King.

James is a former TV executive a fan of the "Twilight" books, which her "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy is based on. While James' books are about to be turned into a movie, "Twilight" author, Stephenie Meyer, just told Variety that she has no plans to continue to the franchise. "I get further away every day," she said. "I am so over it. For me, it's not a happy place to be."

Other authors on the list are Patterson with $91 million, Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games) with $55 million, Bill O'Reilly (Killing Lincoln) with $28 million, Danielle Steel with $26 million, Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) with $24 million, Janet Evanovich with $24 million, Nora Roberts with $23 million, Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code) with $22 million, Stephen King with $20 million, Dean Koontz with $20 million, John Grisham width $18 million, David Baldacci with $15 million, Rick Riordan with $14 million, JK Rowling with $13 million, and George R.R. Martin with $12 million.
