Hugh Jackman Offered $100 Million to Return as Wolverine?

Hugh Jackman Offered $100 Million to Return as Wolverine?Submit Comment
Hugh Jackman has said several times that he owes his entire Hollywood career to the Wolverine role. He's played the character seven times already and is starting to wonder whether it's time to hand the superhero over to another actor.

But it looks like 20th Century Fox isn't ready to replace Jackman. According to the National Enquirer, the actor has been offered a whopping $100 million to reprise the Wolverine role for four more movies. The paper says that Jackman isn't comfortable with signing long-term deals, but is definitely considering it.

This news comes from a very unreliable source, but it doesn't mean that it's not true. In fact, Fox has vowed to figure out a way to bring Jackman back for as many times as possible. It seems that $100 million is that way, especially since the studio is in the middle of expanding its Marvel universe.

Damn, $100 million for four more movies? $25 million a pop. I'm all for it. Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine as far as the films are concerned, and I'd love to see him play the character until Marvel Studios finally gets the rights back, if ever.

This bloke has hit the jackpot, getting paid big bucks to play the same character in every movie he does and workout.

He should be sucking Russell Crowes d*ck and thank him for making him famous..

That's gotta speak for itself, right?

The Wolverine was so f*cking awful I can hardly imagine an R rating would have made it any more interesting save to satisfy primal bloodlust.

It'd possible. A four-movie deal at 100 million, but I doubt it. I doubt he's worth that much to FOX, unless they're looking at a new X-Men trilogy.

National Enquirer.
Hugh Jackman ISN'T returning, then.

He definitely got the part nailed down, and he's a decent actor... unlike whats-his-face who plays Superman. I would say it's a reasonably realistic offer from FOX, and wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

Look, I can think of far worse deals being struck for far lesser 'actors' out there.

Id say jackman is more important to the fox marvel universe than RDJ is to the disney marvel. And if you compare RDJ's salary over the last few movies compared to 100 mil for 4 movies??

That my friends is what you call a steal. I think if fox plays it right and works into the contract the ability for jackman is have enough time between wolvie appearences to allow him to pursue the other films he wants/plays he wants than I 100% think jackman will sign on.

I will say this though, if he signs it then fox better do it right, bring theyre A game. Because this will more than likely be the last contract jackman signs to play wolverine.

they would be smart to use the last one or two films to figure out how to segue to another actor. Or make the 4th be a finite ending fittingly respectful to the man who made the franchise what it is and let him go out right.

then spend the next 5 years using theyre other characters and after enough time make an event film reintroducing wolverine for the new generation films
