I am looking forward to this movie actually. I mean Gavin Hood ain't the best director but great cast, young and old, and Card himself wrote the screenplay adaptation to his own book which is an insanely great story. I look forward to how it translates. Sad thing, if it's half as smart as the book was, it will make Hunger Games look like a worthless piece of thematic sh*t on warfare and the killer instinct in kids. Wait...it already does that. LOL Because it isn't as blunt as Hunger Games and the story had some actual thought put into it. Seriously though, "Ender's Game" is a great book and I think it can be a great movie.
I'm sure Ford, Kingsly and Davis will class-ups the joint a bit, yet everything else seems like a vain attempt to start a franchise that likely won't take. Some poeple will see this. Kids will see it. But I expect an overall "Meh, moving on" type reaction.
The imagery also looks a tad uninspiring, like they merely pulled designs wholesale from half a dozen PC games over the past decade.
