Armie Hammer NOT Interested in Batman Role in "Man of Steel 2," Says Batman Would Beat Superman in FightSubmit Comment
Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger) was set to play Batman in George Miller's "Justice League" movie in 2007. Development progressed so far that the actor even put on his Batman costume, something that was difficult to eventually give up when the project fell apart.

But now that Warner Bros is once again searching for someone to play Batman in "Man of Steel 2," Hammer said that he's not interested in the role. "I'm not actually a big fan of superhero films," he said. "If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?"

And during another interview, Hammer commented on who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman. "I would have to go with Batman," he said. "He's got more technology and he actually has a piece of kryptonite that Superman actually gave him to beat him."

After THE LONE RANGER, film producers NOT interested in Armie Hammer.

Hey Hammer, who's a bigger homo: Flash, or Aquaman?

"If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?"

The point is they're NOT invulnerable, which is what makes them interesting.

Moron.

or in other words : 'i know nobody will cast me to batman after the lone ranger bombed so why don't i say i'm not interested and look hard to get ? '

I think the idea of superman being so powerful, makes him unrelateable next to heros who are not so god like with abilities.
minkowski writes:

^^You should read the Batman/Superman series, then.
Taco writes:

@ mink, True. I should. Is it worth it? I mean does it make logical sense in its own world?
Taco writes:

@ mink, also which issue should I read? Which one is where they fight?
minkowski writes:

@Taco:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superman/Batman

I know, you can use Wikipedia too, but all but the latest Superman/Batman editions are collected into volumes. The first is Loeb's Public Enemies, and they go from there. In each, Superman is NOT treated like an indestructible god, and it's intriguing to see the writers craft various ways Superman can be brought low.
minkowski writes:

@Taco; The Dark Knight Returns is the only graphic novel I know of that features a full square-off battle between the two, but they often come to blows for various reasons in the Superman/Batman series. Most of it, though, is to showcase Superman's weaknesses, and why the two of them need each other, and as such, why they're natural friends despite their numerous glaring character and physical differences.

did the 'dark knight returns' cartoon movie was similar to the book with superman as well?

No, Minkowski. Your a moron. Superman stories are terrible.

"If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?"

Then goes on to explain how Batman would win thereby making Superman not invulnerable.

Armie no think well here.

minkowski writes:

@rambo: not sure what you're asking. The Dark Knight Returns movie is a very faithful adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel.

1st deckman, how the f*ck cld mink be wrong. Its an.opinion he is giving for christ sake. either contribute tonthe thread at hand or go borrow a gun from your NRA buddy and blow yourself. And about this. First off Hamm wld be a suitable supes. and anyone who follows the comics knows Batman has a back up plan for all the other super hero's. Who the f*ck cares. How about the writers focus on a good script and a actor who can portray Batman and perhaps balance out the superman character. so we dont have a flat one deminsional man of steel 2. And while I thought the MOS was watchable it wasnt great like batman begins. and pls give the villian its due credit. Shannon was under used imo.
minkowski writes:

"Superman stories are terrible."

All of them? Since 1939? That's like 74 years of Superman, and in all of those years there's not even one good Superman story? Then why has Superman experienced such longevity, such long-lived popularity, if all of his material is "terrible"?

Next thing you'll tell me: all of the The Beatles's songs are terrible, although I would agree with you on Yellow Submarine.

I'm still trying to figure out who the hell this Armin Hammer guy is. Did he invent that orange box you put inside your refrigerator?

Btw what happened to Ranger, T.T, Previliant Mind and the others who actually contributed to the threads @ hand? It feels like any more That worst previews is more or less nothing but a place for trolls and the peanut gallery to just rant. I mean lets be honest. Mink , Cress and a few others are the only ones who contribute real convos about the topics..

Everyone always pulls the "batman has a piece of kryptonite so he automatically wins".

Superman can run faster than any vehicle Batman owns without breaking a sweat, and even in the presence of Kryptonite, it takes a while for his strength to go away, that's how he manages to best villains such as Metallo, who has a KRYPTONITE HEART.

Pound for Pound, Superman could beat Batman easily. Just heat vision through the head from a mile away, or fly up behind him and throw him into space before he knew what hit him

"Armie Hammer NOT Interested in Batman Role in 'Man of Steel 2'"

Yeah, well, I doubt that anyone is interested in the possibility of Armie Hammer taking on the Batman role in MOS2 anyway, so I guess it all works out in the end.

"Says Batman Would Beat Superman in Fight"

Who cares what some failed box office star thinks would be the outcome of a fight between two comic book characters? Hey, quick, someone ask Taylor Kitsch who would win a battle between Archie and Jughead.
