New Posters for Tom Cruise's "Edge of Tomorrow" Sci-Fi Thriller

New Posters for Tom CruiseSubmit Comment
Warner Bros is at the San Diego Comic-Con to promote its upcoming sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow" (previously named "All You Need is Kill"), and has now unveiled two character posters, featuring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Check them out below.

The movie is set in the near future, in which the world's armies are forced to unite to battle an alien race that landed on Earth, destroying cities and killing millions. Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is demoted and then thrown into battle. Within minutes, he is killed. But he awakens back at the beginning of the same day and is forced to fight and die again -- and again, like a sci-fi version of "Groundhog Day."

The new movie is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and co-stars Bill Paxton. It's set to hit theaters on June 6th, 2014.

After watching "Jack Reacher", I'm going to give this movie a pass.

@Horror,

I caught "Jack Reacher" on Netflix the other night. It wasn't anything special, but I thought it was an entertaining movie. "Edge of Tomorrow" has some potential, but I'm waiting for the trailer before I make any judgment call.

Another generic poster with the characters "looking down" and "serious".

@horror

Your comment makes zero sense. Jack Reacher was written and directed by Christopher Mcquarrie and is an action-drama based on the character from the novels by Jim Grant.

Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi film directed by Doug Liman, who is a perfectly capable action director with The Bourne Identity and Mr.&Mrs. Smith being good examples of that.

These are 2 completely different films that just happen to star the same actor.

Maybe he has a problem with Cruise and his ever growing string of mediocre films lately. Jack Reacher, MI4, and Oblivion were all sub-par for Hwood's biggest star. He needs to come correct soon before he looks up and finds himself on Stallone's wish list for the next Expendables.

Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol is the best film of the series after the first one, but I do agree that Oblivion was weak and Jack Reacher was just okay.

The suits are f*cking stupid. All that weight on top and very little support for the legs and knees. Just looks dumb as hell and grossly impractical.

Agree with Mink, suits look stupid and defy logic.

The eco-skeleton-thing Matt Damon wears in Elysium makes more sense.

Jack Reacher was f*cking cool. So was Oblivion. This one sounds like it will be badass. Cruise doesn't make crappy movies. He doesn't have to because he is Hollywood royalty. I just wish they would have kept the original title.
