Marc Webb Talks Electro, The Rhino and Future "The Amazing Spider-Man" SequelsSubmit Comment
During the San Diego Comic-Con, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" director Marc Webb spoke about the many villains that will appear in the movie, confirming that some will appear for only a few minutes, while others are being set up for future films.

"One of the things about 'Spider-Man' that's really fun is that the people who become villains often don't start out as villains. Most of the relationships are based in love in some ways," he said. "We're teasing certain characters that may not be his main foes... but the main villain is going to be Electro."

When asked if we'll see horns on The Rhino," Webb replied: "Yes," adding that there's not much footage of Rhino in the movie. "Rhino sort of makes a teasing appearance in the film in a very calculated and careful way."

The director also spoke about third and fourth films, which have already been confirmed by Sony. "It's too early to talk about too many of the details, but if you pay attention to this film that's coming out, you may get a feeling and sense of what's to come in the future," he said. "The fourth one was a little bit of a surprise. We always talked about there being a set of three movies, but there may be elements that expand outside Spider-Man that could fulfill that fourth film."

Marc Webb had potential... then he wrapped it in red spandex and f*cked himself in the ass with it.

Taco has inspired me to suggest a new naming convention for movies. They should just adopt the same rules as many software titles do nowadays.. instead of Spider Man 1, 2, 3, etc., they should just do Spider Man 2012, 2014, etc.- stick to just appending the year to the name. That should do away with any confusion as to which sh*tty version people are talking about. (yeah, they're all sh*tty, if we're being really honest)

@Mustard: so what you're saying is the studios should adopt Autodesk's annualized model for version control? Autodesk Maya 2014, Autodesk Softimage 2013, et cetera, instead of proper release numbers?

People in the know despise AD.

...I see your point...
