Today we have a new trailer for Vin Diesel's "Riddick," a third installment in the franchise that co-stars Karl Urban, Katee Sachoff, Jordi Molla, Bokeem Woodbine and David Bautista. Check it out below.
Plot: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge.
The new movie is directed by David Twohy (The Chronicles of Riddick, Pitch Black) and is set to hit IMAX and conventional theaters on September 6th.

Granted there seems like a basic storyline that is like "Pitch Black" but it seems like it's still an improvement because it took the smart idea of focusing on his journey on one planet and not as a starcrosser since that is what worked for him. Ridd*ck is a convict who buries himself underneath the shadows and then when he is poked he comes out to play. Course we'll see in a couple months but for now I have high hopes for this film as a fun, cult sci-fi film like how "Pitch Black" was.
Looks like some good action, I like that its about him and not some galactic army. It shows that its not just some big spectical with way too much CG. They only use it where it's needed. Look forward to it.
Also can't wait for F&F finale I'm sure it will finish nicely
Good looking footage, probably an interesting film, but poorly produced trailer. Who the f*ck allowed it to open with the line "...This ain't nothin' new"? Terrible choice; let's subtly tell our all our prospective customers that this is the same sh*t as always?!
