Brad Pitt Says "World War Z" Sequel May Happen

Brad Pitt Says "World War Z" Sequel May HappenSubmit Comment
"World War Z" was not an easy movie to make. It went over-budget, had its ending completely re-shot and Brad Pitt never got along with director Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace). But now that the film is set to hit theaters on Friday and has a decent 70% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes, talks of a sequel are now underway.

While speaking to Brad Pitt, The Hollywood Reporter asked him about a potential "World War Z 2." Pitt replied: "There is enough to mine from the book. We could barely get a fraction of the book [into the first movie]. So we'll see. We'll see."

"World War Z" revolves around UN employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop a pandemic that is threatening to decimate humanity.

Monsters University will be a juggernaut until The Lone Ranger manages to knock it from #1 over the holiday weekend. I doubt WWZ even makes back its budget worldwide. If it does it probably won't clear more than 250 million.

World War Z has that dying dog odor. You know the odor. The odor of death. The odor that says "I'm off to find a dark, lonely place to croak and rot".

World War Z II?

$200+ million budget + $100+ million in advertising + troubled production + reshot new ending + nothing but negative buzz and tepid anticipation = not f*cking likely.

Yep Dreamcast, i will be shocked if this makes its budget back let alone marketing costs. Superman will still be sucking in box office this weekend i think this could be DOA.

It'll do alright. $400 mil. WW is certainly possible.

But a sequel? What Dreamcast said.

Pretty accurate description of how most of your posts smell on here Minkowski. I bet the same smell emanates from your mouth whenever you open it.
