Arnold Schwarzenegger Says "Terminator 5" Will Film Early 2014

Arnold Schwarzenegger Says "Terminator 5" Will Film Early 2014Submit Comment
It was just reported that Megan Ellison (Zero Dark Thirty) and David Ellison (World War Z), the children of billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison, have partnered with Paramount Pictures to bring "Terminator 5" to the big screen.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently confirmed that "Terminator 5" is one of three films (including "Triplets" and "Conan") that he's set to return for. And now, during the 21st Century Financial Education Summit in Perth, Australia, the actor revealed that "'Terminator 5" starts filming early 2014."

It seems that Paramount has made the project a priority. And for good reason, since the rights to the franchise revert back to James Cameron in 2019. The goal has been to make two more installments, but the hope is to also squeeze in a third one.

Except part of his endo-skeleton will be his walker for f*ck's sake!

You mean as the VOICE of the Terminator right? He CAN'T be serious about actually playing the part...

Why would you create a news story about something that an actor said, without providing ANY actual quote whatsoever?

Logically (somewhat) the appearance of the T-800 or whatever made sense in the first two films. The machines created a hulking robot to kill Sarah. Then a similar but leaner model later on was made to be slightly less detectable (in T2). Or least that's the only explanation you can use for the change in appearance.

But in T3? Why the f*ck would they make the same model again, but old and stumpy? Supposedly this model is sent to kill John but is captured and reprogramned. But why would they send one that is different from John's memory of the T-800?

Then an even more crusty and crippled version for T5?

I've officially put more thought into this than all the writers of the last few films combined.

Isn't he too old to play a part where the character doesn't age?

In some Alternate timeline James Cameron made a bad ass Terminator 3 in 1998 instead of 'Titanic' with a young Arnold.

any other Terminator movie doesn't interest me.

That would have NEVER happened. Cameron has said repeatedly Terminator 2 was the absolute end for him. He had ZERO interest in Terminator 3, which is why the original ending to T2 completely removed any and all chance of a sequel, but was changed in response to test audiences.

So I'm not sure what you mean when you say Cameron would have ever made a T3.

Hell, he only made a T2 because the advances in computer technology gave him the capability to do what he originally envisioned doing with Terminator 1.

As for the news, f*ck off Arnie. You're old. Stop pretending you can make good sequels to movies you made thirty years ago. If you want ANY redemption demand Ellison reboot the franchise with you as a seasoned veteran detective who dies the night The Terminator attacks the police precinct.

One simple solution: cast Arnold as a human character (maybe a scientist or veteran soldier) whome Skynet captures uses as a mold it's first T-800 Terminator.

I think that could work well enough.

^^How are they going to do that when Terminator 4 already had the Arnie T-800?
Cannon writes:

It could take place before the events of T4. Or just pretend that movie didn't even happen. I don't know... I'm spit-ballin' here.

Some VFX house, probably Lola, will land a sweet gig focused on de-aging the ancient bastard.

I'll wait for "Ten", but in "Last Stand" he looks like he has trouble WALKING. One can only hope he got some virgin blood or whatever Sly is drinking and got better.

I f*cking love The Terminator Series. As long as their good id watch as many as 7+ installments. It'd be nice if they could sneak in one as good as the second. That sh*t was amazing..
