"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" Sequel Will Be Insane

"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" Sequel Will Be InsaneSubmit Comment
"Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton, has a lousy 14% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes, but grossed $225 million on a budget of only $50 million. This is why Paramount Pictures is interested in pursuing a sequel.

Now that the movie is being released on DVD/Blu-ray (on June 11th), producer Adam McKay spoke about the sequel, stating that the new movie will be bigger and better. "I've already started to hear some of the ideas [director Tommmy Wirkola] is working on, and its pretty insane," he explained. "This could be one of those instances where the sequel does go further than the first one."

McKay also spoke about the decision to stick with an 'R' rating and whether the studio will want the sequel to be 'PG-13.' "I think Paramount regrets [releasing the R-rated version]. I think they are worried that they left some money on the table," he revealed. "There is some discussion about how we're gong to handle that with the second one."

^ ^ Say wha?
Rambo writes:

Telur refers to Renner's rant against the movie and maybe also to the fact that Gemma Arterton was the main attraction in this movie with her sex appeal.

Does Hansel f*ck Gretel in the sequel? Cause throwing an incest subplot in there would be insane.

Gemma Arterton was the undervalued part of "Quantum of Solace". The other girl was good too but I feel Arterton would have added more dimension to the film if she hadn't been taken out early in the film which was done more as a joke to "Goldfinger" then anything else. I actually can't wait to see "Byzantium". Arterton and Ronan are actually both undervalued actresses.

the R rating was the whole reason the movie was even good! this movie was pretty entertaining for the most part actually lol. I liked it alot more then Jack the Giant slayer, and i did not expect that at all. Bryan singer really let me down with that one, lets hope he doesnt mess up the X-men first class sequel, i dont think he will though.

Tommy Wirkola better finish Dead Snow II first. I rather see some dead nazi zombies than f*cked up witches.
