Warner Bros has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming "Getaway" thriller, starring Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez, Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig, and Bruce Payne. Check it out below.

Plot: Former race car driver Brent Magna (Hawke) is desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife. He commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.

The new movie is directed by Courtney Solomon (An American Haunting, Dungeons and Dragons) and is set to hit theaters on August 30th.

Why does Ethan Hawke get work? He always looks like he wreaks of cigarettes and sleeps on a park bench. I've never really liked him as an actor. I liked him in EXPLORERS, but that was in f*cking 1985.

I liked him in Training Day and Lord of War and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead but he's always just been kinda there.

Yeah, I liked TRAINING DAY. But you said it perfectly--he's always just kinda there.

Ja-nare-rick. This is like a half a dozen different movies from the past five years wrapped into one. And isn't there an upcoming Paul Walker movie with the same premise?

And, really, from the director of Dungeons and Dragons?! Who in their infinite wisdom thought it a good idea to give that motherf*cker another jog to direct?

jog = job

He seems to be making his bank in two things...horror films & the "Before" series plus some other movies he does like this one. He is actually a good actor in my opinion but he really does some weird films like this for no reason. Still, his movies in horror seem to be more interesting than others and get better praise like "Sinister" or "The Purge".

Jon Voight doing another weird over-the-top accent. Ethan Hawke as the latest famous actor doing a Taken ripoff. Selena Gomez as the cutest cleanest teenage runaway (prostitute?) ever. From the auteur who brought us Dungeons & Dragons (Courtney Solomon should be on death row in movie jail for that one).

This has 'labor day weekend dump' written all over it.

I don't know what it is about him, Cannon. He seems to use his aura of being disheveled as his acting "method". He always seems to have that same persona in his films. He's not a bad actor, just one that makes me indifferent to his screen presence.

Trailer looks like crap. And trailers usually pull out the best parts of movies.

Bleh.

Yeah I know. Honestly I think it depends. When he gets a shot at a high profile movie he gets to prove himself a little. He seems to stay out of big movies. I heard he was going to be in "Total Recall" but his cameo got cut. Still he has his moments.

First Timberlake with Affleck and now Hawke with Gomez?!! What the f*ck is going on?!

It's the pussification of America!! The pussification I tells ya!!

Ethan Hawke does look like he dabbles in the crack rock scene but he manages to churn out the films still

Why does he want his wife back after having Selena Gomez there? This is a major plot hole...
