"Iron Man 3" Becomes Fifth Highest-Grossing Film of All TimeSubmit Comment
Ever since "Iron Man 3" broke the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office, everyone was wondering how much more the film can make. Walt Disney Pictures has now announced that the film currently stands at $1.18 billion, making it the fifth highest-grossing movie of all time.

"Iron Man 3" is now the second biggest comic book movie, just behind "The Avengers" ($1.51 billion). The movie has already surpassed "The Dark Knight Rises" ($1.08 billion), "The Dark Knight" ($1 billion), and obviously "Spider-Man 3" ($890 million).

The next target for "Iron Man 3" is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," which stands at $1.34 billion. Then it's "The Avengers," "Titanic" ($2.19 billion) and "Avatar" ($2.72 billion).

"Iron Man 3" will likely remain in fifth place, since it grossed only $18 million globally this weekend.

What absolution said.

Don't get all the j*zz about Skyfall - no better than and with same problems as TDKR.

Iron Man 3 was on par with part 2. Some imaginative action (one boot-one glove-one Uzi fight) and that's it. The fact that its a fifth highest grossing movie of all time only tells me that international markets are growing. And that Avatar 2 will absolutely rape and pillage box-office, regardless of quality.

Shane should make a Downey-Gibson action buddy-movie produced by Joel Silver. Then the magic might come back and everyone gets their due.

That's what happens when you sell big.

It's also what happens when your movie isn't called John Carter or After Earth.

^ That's what happens when Robert Downey Junior is in the film.

Apologies guys. I took my daughter and her friends to see it on Sunday.
It's only higher ranked than 2 because of how bad 2 was. It comes nowhere near 1.
Hell, I enjoyed the trailer for Man of Steel more than I did this movie

I think the build up to this movie really helped its success and all the critics giving it top marks before its worldwide release, but honestly I did feel let down after watching it myself

I still believe the entire sequence with that damn kid in the middle of the country was the one thing that made the entire movie weak
