Professor X's Resurrection Will Be Explained in "X-Men: Days of Future Past"Posted: June 2nd, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
Patrick Stewart was in attendance at ComicPalooza, where he answered questions about how Professor X will return for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" when the character was killed "X-Men: The Last Stand."
He said: "It's interesting, its possibly six or seven years since 'X-Men 3' when you recall Charles Xavier was vaporized by Jean Grey. And you are asking yourself, 'Well if you were vaporized, how can you be in the next 'X-Men' movie?' There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling to me cause I thought my 'X-Men' days were over, but not so."
In "X-Men 3," Professor X transferred his mind into the body of his brain-dead twin brother. So it will be interesting to see if "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will go into more detail about this or come up with an entire new explanation. If the movie sticks with the original explanation, maybe it will also explain why Professor X is once again in a wheelchair.

Him being cast as Professor X is one of the only FEW things that Fox did right with the franchise.

Since his mind can be transferred from one body to the next, as per Last Stand, it would stand to reason Xavier is nearly immortal.
So...whatever.
