New "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" Set Photos Hint At Events in FilmSubmit Comment
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is filming in New Orleans and today we have a look at some of the sets that show that the sequel will take place after much of humanity has vanished and nature started taking the planet back. We also have shots of posters for "Human Nation," which is believed to be the name of the human resistance. Check everything out below.

Plot: A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar (Andy Serkis) is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

The new movie is directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfiend, Let Me In) and co-stars Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In), Enrique Murciano (Traffic), Kirk Acevedo (The Thin Red Line) and Judy Greer (The Descendants). It's set to hit theaters on May 23rd, 2014.

They should have left this stupid 1960s franchise alone.

I still find it hilarious that Human civilization was so easily taken over by someone smarter than the average monkey.

^^^That's because today's human civilization is hardly more conscious an average monkey.

^^Yeah. You'd think humans would handle everything like they've done to all the smart people that threatened to change this world and assassinate'em, f*cking sniper style!!

^^Reminds me of Bill Hicks:

"Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride." And we kill those people."

Bill Hicks also said to never trust an alarm clock.

Then he says,:"oh you want a f*cking PUNCHLINE?!? WELL TOUGH sh*t, DO NOT TRUST AN ALARM CLOCK."

^^ Funny you should say that about Hicks, Avirex...he always finished his set with a rifle shot & sudden blackout pretending he just got shot.

The weird part of Hicks is he wasn't very poular in the States, but always sold out abroad.

Hence the thread with Amanda Bynes!

The intellectual height of this "discussion" was an arguably off-topic exchange surrounding Bill Hicks.

Downright abject.

And this was today's only movie news article, too.
