Brad Bird Wants to Make "The Incredibles" Sequel

Brad Bird Wants to Make "The Incredibles" SequelSubmit Comment
Disney recently confirmed that Pixar is working on new sequels to some of the company's biggest hits. The conversation wasn't about "Monsters, Inc" or "Finding Dora," but about a yet to be announced sequel.

It's very likely that we'll eventually get "Cars 3," and Pixar would have to be foolish not to proceed with "Toy Story 4," since the third installment broke the $1 billion mark globally. But what about "The Incredibles 2"?

In a new interview, director Brad Bird said that he's open to the idea of making a sequel to "The Incredibles." He stated: "I have been thinking about it. I love those characters and love that world. I have many, many elements that I think would work really well in another ['Incredibles'] film, and if I can get them to click all together, I would probably wanna do that."

The only thing about making an Incredibles 2 film, is convincing Disney to go ahead on it, since they already have Marvel's properties.

Not gonna happen. Disney pulls Pixar's strings and they own the rights to the film property so unless Disney wants to make it, no go.

I don't get why Disney wouldn't want this. It would obviously make money.

The most long overdue sequel of all time.

I always thought "The Incredibles" was one of their best. In fact one of there last good ones, minus Toy Story 3. Brad Bird is one hell of a director. Iron Giant and Incredibles was great and then he frikkin' revived Mission Impossible to a new level of brilliance in my opinion.

I'm honestly surprised that Cars got a sequel before this did.

Don't even worry about a third Cars film Pixar, it'll bomb quicker than Seth McFarlanes's new "Dads" show.

The time for a sequel was before the comic book movie deluge

I really hope this happens, love the first one.

I think Incredibles is the only film Pixar has ever made that should have sequels. Brad Bird made such a great (and often underrated) film.

I had high hopes for this and always wanted a sequel. But once Disney purchased Marvel, I knew it would never happen. There's no way Disney will allow any project out their door that could potentially drive dollars from their Marvel juggernaut (joke). Even if that money is still going to their pockets.

More deserving of a sequel than any other film in the Pixar stable, as far as story and characters are concerned. But unfortunately, probably one of the least deserving, when you factor in the marketing tie-ins, merchandising and ancillary cash flows that make properties like Cars so much more lucrative. So there's your reason it probably won't happen.

you wouldave thought after all this f*cking super hero buzzzz they wouldave considered this as soon as avengers came out

why not, i'm game...just don't be lame, i can see a sequel happening and it being great...no reason for it not to be, just disney is too stupid to make more money instead of throwing it away on another cars movie

besides, the toy sales would sell better...provided if there are other cooler heroes and villains involved...the sky is not the limit but time is running out for it and there's great potential...toy story 4 can wait...i still want a bug's life sequel as well
