CBS Films has unveiled a restricted trailer for "Inside Llewyn Davis," a new film by the Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men) that stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman and Garrett Hedlund. Check it out below.
"Inside Llewyn Davis" is loosely based on the life of Dave van Ronk, who played a part in the Greenwich Village coffeehouse scene that played a large part in the New York folk scene of the '60s.
The new movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is set to hit theaters on December 6.
The Coen Brothers have one of the greatest hitstreaks ever (from Raising Arizona through O Brother Where Art Thou - 1987-2000) and they've been great again since the No Country for Old Men resurgence but...
...this looks like one of their lesser works. Still, lesser Coen Brothers is still better than most. And hopefully the greatness of John Goodman will balance out the gaping black hole of untalentedness that is Justin Timberlake.
Fargo, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, True Grit.....
What happened? You were at the height of cinematic excellence, (better than Tarantino, I ASSURE you) then you slowly went for sh*t after sh*t.
The one thing you can say about these guys is that the original. their films are not muffled with peoples ideas. even if some of the films are subpar or boring. at least you know you're getting something out of the norm. unlike all the comic book movies remakes reboots sequels im prequels that plague the silver screens today
