Sony Pictures has unveiled a UK trailer for Tom Hanks' "Captain Phillips," based on the memoir "A Captain's Story: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALS and Dangerous Days at Sea." Check out the trailer below.
Plot: Tells the true story of Captain Richard Phillips (Hanks) and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. Phillips spent three days as a hostage of the Somali pirates before being rescued by Navy SEALs in a raid.
The new movie is directed by Paul Greengrass (Bourne Ultimatum) from a script by Billy Ray (Flightplan). It's set to hit theaters on October 11th.
Not really, Avirex, and thus I'm not entirely sure how you got that from the plot description unless you immediately bridle at the slightest mention of America's military actions, but regardless, the film is about the captain's ordeal, not the American military.
Wow. Is there any time when you are not the first to post sarcastically about something on here Minkowski? You desperately need to get laid man, theres more to life than just being on this site all day.
I used to find it annoying that you post a million times and are the first to write on here, now it's just getting sad.
Not trying to be mean, but DISCOVER some girls man! Hope this helps.
Ah, well, Avirex, having followed this particular story in the news as it occurred, I can assure you the Navy SEALS play a minimal role near the end. No need to worry. It's not some Zero Dark Thirty type flick, or it shouldn't be...
I know alot of films you already know the ending from history ect but I think the sound of this plot in particular I dont want to go see it now the navy seals rescue him at the end what a shock that would be if I went and watched it now
@ rockkillers hey dude, leave mink alone, this is literally all the social interaction he has the stomach for. Besides, it usually makes me feel so much better when I see his posts. It's like that's the lowest the bar can be set for humanity.
