Luke Evans Says "The Crow" Remake Will Be Same as OriginalSubmit Comment
It was recently revealed that Luke Evans (Fast and Furious 6) was cast as Eric Draven in the upcoming "The Crow" remake. In a new interview, the actor spoke about the movie, stating that the reboot will be very similar to the original.

"I'm [playing] Eric Draven. I'm the same character," said Evans. "Obviously, he's been refreshed and brought up to date. We're reimagining it to a certain extent, but the story and the plot is mostly the same."

Evans will play a rock musician who is murdered while trying to save his fiancee from thugs. He is resurrected by supernatural forces and seeks revenge. "The Crow" will be directed by F. Javier Gutierrez.

Worked wonders for the Psycho remake

Why dont you just flush the productions money directly into the toilet?

Thank you Luke. You've just telling me to save my money.

The only difference with this version is Evans f*cks the bad guys to death.

Interestingly enough, the last name Draven is but one letter different from the word raven, a synonym for crow. Clever, right? Yawn.

It's scary how nonchalantly this *sshole admits to being lazy and unoriginal.

the story and the plot are the same."

So theres no need to watch it then. They've already made 4 sequels with the same story and plot. f*ck !

Remake will be same except:
he will play the skin flute instead of guitar

he's brought back to avenge the death of his nine year old murdered filipino 'little brother'

applies semen to his face instead of make-up

Has the power to channel the pain of sodomy into his victims

Immune to V.D.

feels no pain so...
no lube needed (or wanted)

Keeps the crow in a cage
And by cage i mean his anus

Likes to keep his bullet wounds open just in case company c*ms over

Prefers to keep a look out for crime by 'perching' on flag poles for hours at a time

and here's hoping they make the same tragic mistake they did in the original. kidding. that's wrong of me to wish death on someone like that.
pornfly writes:

OBVIOUSLY, hes been refreshed and brought up to date.

His band will be on Facebook/Twitter
The junkies will consume hand sanitizer through their rectum
There will be a 'Have You Seen The Crow?' Pinterest blog
Eric Draven will dole out justice utilizing Google Earth

How bout you refresh your sphincter and leave this movie alone

original is so overrated.

Uh, Luke, not the best choice of words, bro ...since somebody actually died while making the last one.

SACdaddy writes:

@Bunny: lol pretty harsh girl but I was hoping for something a little bigger this time around. Be nice if an "accident" during filming burns the entire studio to the ground. Cast and crew survives but somehow every studio exec parishes in a board meeting while discussing their next remake project.
SACdaddy writes:

@Ip_man: have to agree. The movie was entertaining but still nothing extremely special for my taste. If anything Brandon Lee's performance gets way too much credit. Sorry the guy died and all but that doesn't automatically make his performance Oscar worthy. It's no Ledger Joker.

I can see Luke making a career out of playing in movies named after birds.

if your a goth its a classic, a remake would be cool and luke dose angry and moody quiet well so i'am in.
President Baltar writes:

@Mink
Not sure if you're being a ironic or something, but a raven is hardly a synonym for crow, as they are two different birds altogether
President Baltar writes:

Forget I said anything, apparently the term is very vague, and can refer to both birds, which is stupid, but true

"... but the story and the plot is mostly the same."

The problem is that Evans says that like its a good thing. Glad Hiddleston wasn't involved in the stinking, pile of a movie.

I have still yet to hear something positive about this project that will let me know it'll actually be enjoyable.
