Warner Bros has unveiled a new TV spot for the upcoming "Man of Steel" movie, showing lots of footage of some of the action scenes that'll take place in the new film. Check it out below.
In the film, a young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
The new movie is directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) and produced by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight). It's set to hit theaters on June 14th.
I think all the unwarranted criticisms the film has faced so far is disgraceful on the part of all the fake purists who are trying to show how much better they are than the "Nolanites."
I could at-least understand when the problem was that there was concern over Warners making Superman a violent anti-hero because it was coming from a bunch of soccer moms who heard it was "dark" and "the Batman guy" was making it, and just put two and two together and got seven; but now it's the pretentious, judgmental, "oh, you're all emo, and everything has to be miserable, and everyone should stop acting like there's problems with the world, and Superman needs to be a clown who juggles bank robbers."
They claim to be fans, but they act like this is the first time Superman's ever had some sort of moment of pain or anguish, because they've forgotten what the comics and the Christopher Reeve movies are like, not to mention the horrible Superman Returns.
As for the constipation jokes, congratulations: this is the first time you've ever seen someone make an angry-face which, once again, proves that you've never read a Superman comic.
