Michael Caine Joins Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" Sci-Fi Film

Michael Caine Joins Christopher NolanSubmit Comment
Michael Caine has signed on to star in "Interstellar" sci-fi film, which is Christopher Nolan's next movie. The casting decision is not very surprising, since the actor has appeared in every Nolan film since "Batman Begins" in 2005. And as with most secretive Nolan movies, the first details will likely be accidentally leaked by Caine.

The story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and focuses on a group of explorers traveling through a wormhole. The script, written by Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan, is based on scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a physicist at Caltech.

The project was originally set up by Steven Spielberg, who eventually dropped out. "Interstellar" co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, and is set to hit theaters on November 7th, 2014.

"The story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and focuses on a group of explorers traveling through a wormhole."

This is the most fascinating concept for a film as it offers so many possibilities.

Nolan has daddy issues. He casts him in all his movies so he can receive private spankings from Papa Caine.

Mccoughnahay as the lead is going to be sh*t like contact

Matthew McConaughey seems miscast and I can't stand Jessica Chastain plus Anne Hathaway tries too hard but remains mediocre imo. Nolan simply sucks at casting women. Besides Marion Cotillard most of the chicks he chooses are usually sh*tty looking and sh*ttier actresses.

Michael Caine is actually the only bright side to the cast so far.

Mccoughnahay's as lead was only good in 'reign of fire' - movie was mediocre but he gave his best performance ever in that movie.never seen him like that before or after.too bad.

Matthew McConaughey was really good in Killer Joe.

@Avirex. I disagree about Anne Hathaway trying too hard, because she was unbelievably good and effortless in TDKR. I understand why Chris Nolan wants to work with her again. And, let's be honest, Marion Cotillard was the weakest link in TDKR. Her fake dying scene was dreadful.

As long as Nolan isn't directing a Batman film, I'm somewhat interested.
