David Spade's "Joe Dirt" Getting a Sequel

During a presentation in front of ad buyers in New York, Crackle announced that it will make feature films specifically to be watched on the internet. And one of its biggest projects will be a sequel to David Spade's 2001 comedy "Joe Dirt."

In the original movie, Spade played a redneck looking for his parents. It grossed 27 million domestically, which wasn't enough for a theatrical sequel, but good enough for a low-budget internet movie. Spade is expected to reprise his role and the story will pick up where the first film left off.

Crackle's other projects include the martial arts movie "Extraction," with Danny Glover, and a second season of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" that will feature Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, David Letterman and others.

Back in the day i loved David Spade... but this idea is just awful.

His 'Just Shoot Me' days are long gone now.

A sequel to a one-off movie made during Spade's ten minutes of fame? Why?

Seinfelds show will make you hate your life.
The ep. with Carl Reiner/Mel Brooks was the best

"Comedians in Cars getting Coffee"

Like it, but not all the guests have that "boy, he/she looks pretty interesting to talk to.."

At Pornfly: Yeah, that Reiner/ Brooks one was pretty cool. I started to notice that the shows are edited, so I wish I could've been there on the whole filming...notice the episode starts during AM/ noonish & ends at night.

I highly recommend Alec Baldwin for his f*cking cool wit, jokes & master storyteller (he keeps Jerry on his toes) & Michael Richards for his funny, touching friendship with Jerry...also a pretty good storyteller. You can tell they're especially close after Seinfeld put his own career on the line to stand by Richards to explain himself after his filmed racist rant to a heckler.

As for JOE DIRT 2...."desperate times call for desperate measures..."

Seen em all CELLULOID
Yea explains a couple time how long it takes
And you see some of them is just eatin at different places
But the Richards one was cool
I wasnt gonna watch cuz he's an awful rascist
But it hilarious
And he's just an awful comedian

The Ricky Gervais ep. was fckin comedy
and that Alec Baldwin line where he says,"your life mustve been an easy street with nothing but green light"
Or somethin pretty close to that

Even if theres someone you dont care too much for
Jerry and the editing moves it along

Can imagine spending a whole friggin day with Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner?!?!
Watchin dvds?
Poppin meds??
Eatin jewish people food???
Served to you by a filipina caregiver????

And then you just dont leave
Youre all carryin on
On the front lawn like a bunch of sailors on leave
*Imsuperhigh*

Joe Dirt: "Hey man, you done with that apple?"

Oil Rig Worker: (farts) "I'm done with that fart. You want that?"

Joe Dirt: (puts fists up) "You wanna fight? Why don't you stick your head up my butt and fight for air."

END SCENE

Eat your heart out, David Mamet.

I hate to admit it, but JOE DIRT is a film I've seen multiple times. Spade was funny in it. And that Brandy was hot as f*ck. The way she dismounts off that horse, with that smokin' body, in them daisy dukes cut-off shorts....er...excuse me....I now have an erection to attend to.
