That's cool, but uh, the CGI or whatever looks like it came from an old video game. GunMetal or something.
They had better market Pacific Rim better if they don't want people laughing at the poster inside the lobby instead of plopping their asses in the seats, because even though I'm interested, this sh*t is making me think twice.

I thought the cg looks decent. Minkowski what movies/shows cg have impressed you the most then?

^^I was talking about the CGI in the banner, not the movie. The movie looks pretty f*cking good, better than Transformers, which is saying something as visuals is all those movies have.
And to answer your question...none. It all looks fake. I prefer practical effects any day. Compare the nuclear explosions in Terminator to those of Terminator for an example.

You have to admit when Del Toro gets reign of a project he gives you something unlike anything else. Hellboy was decent, his installment of "Blade", and, while I still haven't seen it, "Pan's Labyrinth" but that is considered his best by almost everyone. Still, he gives you something different and manages to have a little story and character development as well.

Also, Transformers is just annoying. It was fun the first time around and then 2 & 3 felt like my head was hit by a hammer over and over and over again. LOL
