Marvel Unveils New Concept Art and Details for "Captain America 2"Submit Comment
Entertainment Weekly has now unveiled new concept art for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," giving us a look at The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) catching Captain America's shield. Check it out below, in addition to a few story details from Marvel head Kevin Feige.

Feige said: "We weren't going back to World War II. Cap cannot travel in time. So while Tony [Stark] can go home to Malibu and Thor goes up to Asgard and Hulk can sort of ride the rails, Cap was stuck. So Cap does stay with SHIELD because he has nowhere else to go. But he's not necessarily comfortable there. And just as he's given permission to let go of the past and to focus on the modern world, a ghost (Bucky Barnes) comes up. With the Greatest Generation in World War II, there's a tendency to reflect on that period and say, 'Things were black and white back then, and now it's hard to know who the bad guys are.' We wanted to play on that a little wit Cap being uncomfortable with the way SHIELD, and in particular Nick Fury, operates."

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" co-stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Toby Jones, Hayley Atwell, and Robert Redford. It's set to hit theaters on April 4th, 2014.

I realized something today. Film has always depended on literature, and when literature dies, so do films, so as it is, comic books are a more primitive form of literature, which means in order to make movies, out of desperation, filmmakers have had to tap into comic books for source material.

The whole idea of "Bucky Barnes survived an explosion/huge fall, and the soviets found him, gave him some robot parts, and turned him into a super assassin" never really took with me.

Especially after that fall he took in Cap Am: Da First Avenga, he should be all flavors of dead.

Get Banner an extended cameo in this film...and it would be sweet if Hulk could have an appearance. Either way, I feel that Marvel needs to make up for the lack of a Hulk/Banner solo film in phase 2 by giving him spots in the other films. ALSO, The Avengers 2 better be ALL about Banner and Hulk...to make up for lost time.
