Gwyneth Paltrow Says "Iron Man 4" Won't Happen

Posted: April 26th, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
Gwyneth Paltrow Says "Iron Man 4" WonSubmit Comment
Robert Downey Jr previously revealed that his contract with Marvel ends with "Iron Man 3." It's widely believed that the actor will return for "The Avengers 2," but a deal has yet to be signed.

Now, it turns out that Gwyneth Paltrow's contract has also ended. And the actress believes that this is the end of the "Iron Man" franchise. "I don't think there's going to be [an 'Iron Man 4']. I think we’re done with Iron Man," she said.

Downey has also been saying that he may not return for "Iron Man 4," but it's possible that this is all part of their contract negotiations. On the other hand, Marvel has been known for replacing actors (Hulk, Rhodey), so it's not impossible that the studio may reboot the franchise or let Don Cheadle take the lead.

Why even say it? It's not like we can believe it. Enough $$ and they'll all return.

Oh, yes, that's right..I think I remember reading in Variety a few months back where Paltrow sits in on all the board meetings with Marvel and Disney's top brass. When there is important studio business to discuss, it's important to get the input of the dim-witted blonde in one of your comic book movies. Idiot.

Don Cheadle take the lead??? WTF, that would be a spin off film series. Lay off the crack Alex.

"or let Don Cheadle take the lead. "

Clever one, Dear Leader. Very, very clever.

@Freshman: you've earned my respect today, not that you should give a flying f*ck, for not coming back at me with some hateful ad hominems like most of the people on here. In the future, hopefully you and I can speak to one another with respect.

It's f*cking Gwyneth Paltrow! Nowhere near any of the executives of Marvel or Disney. Is her statment really news? She has no say in the matter. It's way too early to make that call anyway. They will decide when the Iron man franchise will end. And I'm sure they will get RDJ if they really want him.
BlackDynamite writes:

Of course there will be no Iron Man 4. Because he dies in Avengers 2, giving room for a War Machine movie.
velocityknown writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 10:20:15 PM

Because Gwyneth Paltrow has such a stellar career outside of this franchise.

Who the f*ck is this broom-faced bitch, and why the f*ck is she speaking for Robert Downey Jr.?

If IM3 approaches a billion dolllar, we'll see IM4. Paltrow has shot off her mouth about something she doesn't really know/aware.
Dirt writes:

Why the f*ck would anyone want a War Machine movie.. Tony Stark or GTFO.

RDJ will be hard to replace.
Deaft0ne writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 11:03:11 PM

Jeffrey Dean Morgan can be Tony Stark/Iron Man if RDJ doesn't want to continue. He would be the only suitable replacement I can think of that resembles RDJ and is also a decent actor.

He was about the only good aspect of Watchmen as Edward Blake/The Comedian.

velocityknown writes:

@Deaftone

I do like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but if Paltrow's statements end being true (on that astronomically small chance) then they'd have to go in a completely different direction from RDJ's Iron Man to keep it interesting.
coldplayesence writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 11:35:27 PM

For her, maybe. Marvel will not let their flagship character go just yet.
Deaft0ne writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 11:36:44 PM

@velocityknown

Yeah but Iron Man is Marvel's biggest cash cow along with The Avengers so I think they would recast if RDJ is really done with the films.
Phoenix Fire writes:

"And while it seems a little cynical to think this, it’s also a possibility that Paltrow’s comments are just her lending a hand in the ongoing – and pretty public – negotiations between the actor and studio."
mustardayonnaise writes:

Who the f*ck is she to speak for an entire studio? She's a god damn actor, not a studio head, not a producer, not a director, not ANYONE of importance. Of all the characters in this franchise she is probably the MOST REPLACEABLE. And if I were a studio head/producer looking at her comments as potential leverage for negotiations for a 4th installment, I'd tell her to go f*ck herself and get some up-and-coming skank for 1/10th the price (or less).

These f*cking actors are so god damn annoying some time.

Dirt writes:

I don't know why you're all losing your sh*t about what Gwyneth said. Calm your tits, she said she 'doesn't think there's gong to be' another. Keyword is think.

Are you guys that dense that you think she doesn't have conversations with people like Kevin Feige during filming?

Or you all like to just bandwagon? Or none of you actually read the article?

It's like some of you c*nts can't think for yourselves.

Panda writes:

I personally felt Cheadle was dog balls in IM2, but that could be because I thought IM2 itself was pretty much dog balls. RDj is the reason iron man is marvels cash cow IMO.
ENFORCER writes:

This c*nt has been named the most beautiful woman in the world, so she dictates when a franchise has ended of course.

Seriously kill the slut off and have him fight without her annoying boring ass.

Anywho.. Guys I just finished Stephen Kings 118 page short story 'A Good Marriage' from his "Full Dark No Stars" Book. Great Read, Highly Reccomend. Can't wait for the movie lol
Shogo1307 writes:

its very plausible that all of them could end at the 3rd sequel, and they just all move to The Avengers. Yea they could literally make 50 sequels for each Avenger, but most of the continuity consist of them all being on the same team one way or another.
