Bishop and Warpath Confirmed for "X-Men: Days of Future Past"

Bishop and Warpath Confirmed for "X-Men: Days of Future Past"Submit Comment
Director Bryan Singer has updated his Twitter account with an updated list of which mutants will appear in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." There are characters like Professor X, Magneto and Storm, but Singer also mentioned Bishop and Warpath.

Bishop will likely be played by Omar Sy. The character was introduced in 1991 as part of a mutant police force from the future. He wasn't created until after the "Days of Future Past" storyline in the comics, but played a major role in the animated TV series adaptation. Bishop has the power to absorb and project energy.

Warpath will likely be played by Booboo Stewart. The character made his first appearance in the 80s and has such powers as flight and enhanced strength and speed.

too many f*cking characters which means very little screentime.

Bishop! AWESOME! BEST X-MAN EVER.

I agree with you Bandolero, i worry there are way to many characters in this. But WV i agree Bishop is a badass!

Agree with bandolero

Reminds me of Mortal Kombat Annihilation, rammed with as many characters as they can fit, and turned out to be quite pathetic.

But MKA was based on an incoherent story from the MK 2&3 games, so it was already going to be stupid. X-Men:DOTF is arguably the very best X-Men story from the comics and it has a sh*tload of characters and it seems like Singer is trying to include most of them.

I won't be surprised if this gets split into 2 films. DOTF really should be in 2 parts anyways, it's a big story.

Singer just had that failure of the Jack the giant slayer.this is gonna be pretty f*cking bad.

Michael Jai white has the perfect build for Bishop.but thats over with.got some unknown other black guy.

Wow. Bet ya the mutant known as Kitchen Sink is waiting by the phone.

@Deaftone: Mortal Kombat Annihilation was just low budget trash. No story, poor acting, terrible effects...the character overflow is certainly not the film's worst aspect.

Who the f*ck names their kids Booboo Stewart, and how the f*ck do they get gigs making movies?

Anyone remember the days when an actor took a better name to get work and fame, like Woody Allen who was once Allen Konigsberg?

True, Cress, but then Arnold Schwarzenegger is no James Stewart either.

@Deaft0ne: I somehow blocked that sh*t out. Also, Brian Thompson as the villain was momentously terrible casting.

speaking of James Stewart,I just saw Vertigo for the first time.GREAT MOVIE
Deaft0ne writes:

@mink

lol, yeah he was a bad choice for Shao Kahn but James Remar was even worse as Raiden. At least Christopher Lambert was putting some effort in as Raiden in the first movie but Remar is a horrible actor to begin with and his complete lack of acting skills was further magnified in a movie that was little more than cosplay dinner theater.

REmar is a great actor. He's awesome in 48 hours and in the Cotton Club.

then again you are the c*mguzzler that sucks the rocks d*ck.

@band0

He always either overacts or underacts. He's terrible.

Then again you are the closet homosexual that always resorts to calling others gay as a retort when it's you projecting your actual subconscious desires.

SACdaddy writes:

Got to agree with Bando on this one. Remar is a great character actor. Been in a million movies and I can't really remember one bad performance. Don't forget the dude KILLED it as Dexter's dad, he does some of the best voice over work out there (big part of the Call of Duty storyline), and when you need a capable bad guy on the cheap he's always available. A true unheralded legend in my book.
minkowski writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 12:37:36 AM

Yeah, I agree, Deaft0ne, Remar isn't a great actor for sure. His performances always come off as totally canned. He doesn't sync with his given roles and calling him a character actor is an insult to true character actors like Morgan Woodward. Now there was a true character actor, whereas Remar comes off like he's imitating a real actor acting. His role on Dexter was absolutely lifeless and wooden. On the other hand, Woodward's Man with No Eyes in Cool Hand Luke was so dedicated, he refused to go out of character between takes just to keep his role's realism alive.

And I agree Thompson isn't the worst, and does some roles well, but only those properly suited to his stature and freakish appearance, like the alien bounty hunter in The X-Files.

Beyond that, he sucks.
minkowski writes:

"Have they forgotten anyone? Jesus!!"

No, he's in there too. He does the after credit scene wherein he brings Cyclops back to life and turns Singer's whine into water.
minkowski writes:

"speaking of James Stewart,I just saw Vertigo for the first time.GREAT MOVIE"

Yep. And they don't make 'em like Stewart anymore. Sadly.
Deaft0ne writes:
on April 25th, 2013 at 12:45:55 AM

@sacdaddy

He isn't bad on Dexter but aside from that he always seems like he is just phoning it in and his sh*tty acting always takes me out of anything I see him in.

The only recent video game I heard him in was Killzone 3, but none of the COD games. Maybe you are thinking of Lance Henriksen. He voiced General Shepherd in Modern Warfare 2.

the Worst casting.
CelluloidMan writes:

I read people keep thinking the new X-Men movie has too many characters, but they'll really be just cameos that will move the plot along.

Take WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT for example, if you heard of ALL THE NAMES of all the characters (M. Mouse, B. Bunny, Daffy & Donald Duck, Betty Boop etc.) people would think the same way, but they're just cameos...we'll see how Singer uses them.

Also as I said before if Singer comes through or f*cks it up, I'll still see the movie, front row...there hasn't been anything this ambitious. A culmination of a trilogy & its cast in a time traveling plot...damn!!
ENFORCER writes:

Remar is OK in Dexter but to me they have just taken the talk to Dad's ghost or memory adaptation from Six Feet Under. It Works but kinda unnecessary.

My Fav remar role was in 48 Hours, and the Warriors, he played some cool characters in those films, but honestly he does not stand out a=in anything else to mind.
Bunny X writes:

@WV-Films I totally agree. Bishop is easily my favorite X-Man character.

I don't think the number of characters in this film will hurt it. I just think they'll use them sparringly like in flash-forwards or alternate timeline scenes. I doubt they'll all be heavily used through the entire film. The time traveling alternate reality premise gives them a great way out of having to use everyone.
BlackDynamite writes:

Can't we just save some of these characters, like Warpath, for an X-Force movie? Just a badass, bloody, rated-R, Expendables-esque X-Force movie.
