Zack Snyder Accepted Offer to Direct "Justice League of America"?Submit Comment
It's still unclear what Warner Bros is planning for its "Justice League of America" movie, outside of the fact that the studio would like to eventually make it. There have been plenty of rumors circulating the project, but we may now have an idea of who will direct the film.

In a new interview with Ruben Fleischer (Gangster Squad), the director was asked if he's still interested in helming "Justice League" since his name popped up on a short list of directors last year. He replied: "That's something that Zack Snyder is going to wind up doing."

Fleischer would definitely know if Snyder got the job, but it's not clear if he's just making an assumption. Many believe that Christopher Nolan will end up directing, but getting Snyder may also be a big win for Warner Bros, especially if "Man of Steel" becomes a massive hit.

So Justice League all depends on Man of Steal, the 5th time Supermans orgins have been told on screen. Only this time with lots of money thrown at the screen!

Bah, another rumor! I don't give it a rat's ass unless WB confirms it for real

I'd be happy with Snyder. Filled with dread if they actually got Nolan on board.

I'm worried about this movie as is.

Taco, Man of Steel is the 2nd time in 34 years the origin has been told. You can't count Smallville, Lois and Clark, or Superman Animated because they weren't Movies

Why would he definitely know that and why do you go right from saying he would definitely know to it's not clear if he's just making an assumption.

Seriously, stop this.

sleepingshane: LOL, I hope that was sarcasm

All Snyder is good for is turning graphic novels which are essentially story boards in to nice visual films. When he has the chance to do something original (Sucker Punch) he comes up with the biggest piece of sh*t film I've seen in years. How can something so full of action be so boring?

Any way I'm sure Man of Steel will do well at the cinema, but that doesn't mean Snyder was involved with the well done areas. Nolan had his name slapped on the film I'm sure he had enough input to ensure his reputation wasn't damaged.

Taco must have seen 3 other Superman origin movies in an alternate dimension. His origin was not ever shown on Lois & Clark aside from a quick montage in the pilot episode and again does not count because it was not a movie.

If a person uses words like 'wind up doing' then he is employing informed speculation. I don't think Snyder wants to get stuck in a franchise. It's not like he hasn't had a sh*tload of undisclosed offers (also speculation, but let's not be stupid- he's damn good).

Zack Snyder is a good director? News to me.

Listen, the Man of Steel trailer is admittedly quite promising- I like it a lot, actually. But 300? Watchmen? Sucker Punch? All three heavy on visual flair and extremely light on story and character. Sure, you can make excuses for Watchmen being too dense/obtuse to easily translate to the screen, but at some point the director has to start taking responsibility for successfully communicating a compelling and cogent story. Snyder has yet to do that. His films are video games.

Wow. Some guy unconnected to DC said he thinks Zack Snyder will direct Justice League, because Snyder directed Man of Steel, and Alex runs with it like he just got the news Japan has bombed Pearl Harbor.

Newsflash, Alex! Stop writing crap!

"he's just making an assumption. "

It's not even an assumption. Sounds like something dude just threw out there to answer the question, like: So, Minkowski, who do you think will direct the upcoming Beast Wars movie? Minkowski: That's something that Micheal Bay is going to wind up doing.

There you go, Alex, news for tomorrow. Micheal Bay is directing the Beast Wars movie.

You're welcome.

Hopefully neither Snyder nor Nolan direct.

I don't care about the Justice League of America movie so I don't care who directs it but I do believe Man of Steel will be a huge hit and I don't get all the hate for Snyder as 300 and Watchmen are good movies. Yes they depend heavily on the visuals and slow mo and are lacking a bit script wise but overall they are enjoyable flicks.

Sucker Punch on the other hand is a big stinking pile of sh*t nobody should be subjected to.

But two out of three ain't bad.
