MTV Won't Allow for "Buckwild" to Continue on Another Network

Posted: April 21st, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
MTV WonSubmit Comment
The first season of MTV's "Buckwild" TV show had ratings that were good enough to move forward with a second season. But when cast members started getting arrested and Shain Gandee ended up dying, the network decided to abandon the show.

That angered producer JP Williams, who promised that he'll take "Buckwild" to another network and even has plans for a movie based on the reality series. But MTV wants the show gone permanently and is not allowing for its continuation on another network. Instead, MTV will hold on to the property to make sure that Williams or anyone else wouldn't be able to do anything with it.

Williams responded to that decision, stating: "MTV is the most hypocritical network out there. [They] keep promoting premarital sex and promoting leaving the baby after you have it. I'm so glad they have found their moral bar."

Hey, Mr. Producer, how about coming up with a new stupid idea for a tv series instead of crying like a little bitch over the cancellation of this one. It's MTV for christ's sake. They'll put any piece of sh*t show on their network. For example--BUCKWILD. But you just shot yourself in the d*ck by bad mouthing the one network that you already had a good relationship with. And I thought Shain Gandee was a idiot. f*ckhead.

@DeaftOne. I'm kind of stuck in regards to new Gandee jokes. Kind of like Shain in that mudhole. Except I will live.

For the funeral, Shain Gandee's family hired a mouth harp choir to sing Swing Low,Sweet Chariot with backing from The Voicebox Tracheotomy Troupe.

If the show had high ratings, it doesn't belong on MTV anyway.

MTV is crap. They've pushed aside music for PC sh*t for over two decades now. When they were new, in the early 80s, they were just about the music, most of which was still junk, but not as bad as the music today. But when they started with "The Real World" which was anything BUT real, they started to heavily push their own social agenda. If I had stock in Viacom, MTV's parent company, I would I consider dumping it, because canceling a show that pulls in ratings is a piss-poor business decision and a f*ck-you to the stockholders. Jackass promoted pure idiocy for years, and they didn't cancel it. But canceling a show about people who lead a very risky lifestyle because someone pays the ultimate price, leading said life, is hypocrisy. It also crushes the hopes and dreams of everyone involved in that show. I'm not saying that MTV is a charity and not a business, but Buckwild was getting big time ratings.

bullseye for cress. yeah, this fuggin idiot needs a nice warm glass of shut the hell up. he could've just come up with another dimwitted 'high concept' for a reality show (eg. hillbillies buttf*cking each other, etc.) and sold that trash to MTV, thus sustaining his goodwill with the show- especially considering MTV probably would've wanted to throw him a bone because of the bad luck surrounding this show. but no, he had to whine like a little bitch. good luck getting another show on the air, f*ckhead.

Weeeeeeeell, to be honest and to clarify Cress said the producer shot himself in the foot by trashing MTV, but the show is already totally CANCELLED, so at this point, anything he says is just venting. Not like if he had some good things to say about MTV, they'd put Buckwild back on the f*cking air. lol.

And yeah, if the show had some good ratings, shopping it to another network is the only thing he could do. Create another show? Why? The one he made was working just fine. Hell, it's probably more wildly known now, so why come up with something NEW? He ALREADY has a hit, perhaps more so now.
