Sylvester Stallone Wants Mel Gibson to Direct "The Expendables 3"Posted: April 11th, 2013 by WorstPreviews.com Staff
|
After launching "The Expendables" franchise, Sylvester Stallone has been working to bring additional 80s action heroes for each new installment. We previously heard that Mel Gibson was considered for "The Expendables 3." And now, Stallone has confirmed that, but not to star in the film.
"What about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone? Curious...," Stallone wrote on Twitter. It's not clear if that was meant to be an announcement that Gibson will direct the new film or whether Stallone is polling his fans.
Gibson has had a great career as a director, having worked on such films as "Braveheart," "The Passion of the Christ" and "Apocalypto." The first movie earned him an Oscar, the second one made him filthy rich. Unfortunately, Gibson's personality made him a pariah in Hollywood.
Question: Would you like for Mel Gibson to direct "The Expendables 3"?

I don't think Gibson is into scat, Sly, because your EXPENDABLES movies are pure sh*t.

"Would you like for Mel Gibson to direct "The Expendables 3"?"
f*ck. No.
Not because Gibson isn't a great director, but because it would be a further downward spiral for him. I'm sorry, but both EXPENDABLES movies were terrible. Terrible story. Terrible dialogue. Terribly executed all around. EXPENDABLES 3 will be sh*t as well. Gibson doesn't need to damage his career any further. Stay away, Mel.

Holy sh*t! It could be the greatest movie ever with him directing.
I'd rather he did other sh*t but I'll watch anything Gibson directs.

I take that back. Mel should just keep making his own films. He's got more talent in his pinky than most of film industry combined. Even as an actor Mel still rocks. Get the Gringo and The Beaver are proof of that.

You can't shine a turd ... but you can roll one in glitter . My hypothesis is Mel will pass , but he still has one or two good films in him . Just like Eastwood .

I'd say yes if only Gibson signs off or contributes to the screenplay. F*cker is pretty solid in that department...
Plus, Gibson is desperate. He might take anything right now that could kickstart his comeback. Anyway, who wouldn't want a Gibson-directed pure action film?
Heeeellls Yeeeaahhh!!
Now if he can only keep his big mouth shut enough to pull this off...

f*ck yes. And this coming from one of God's chosen few. Guy's a damn good filmmaker, and if you appreciate art enough, you'll be able to separate it from the artist.

Don't care who directs EX#. Tired of the entire boring franchise. They can get Uwe Boll FAIC, still not watching it.
