Screen Gems has now unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming "Carrie" remake, which is based on a novel by Stephen King, and stars Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let Me In) as the title character and Julianne Moore as her mother. Check out the trailer below.
Plot: The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Judy Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday), but only Chris' best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.
The new movie is directed by Kim Peirce (Boys Don't Cry) and is set to hit theaters on October 18th.

This movie says more about Stephen King's overbearing mother, outcast childhood and inner rage than it does about anything else noteworthy. And I've already seen. Twice. Not even the ghost of Julianne Moore could make me see it thrice.
