Screen Gems will unveil the full trailer for the upcoming "Carrie" remake later today. But now, thanks to Entertainment Tonight, we have fifteen seconds of new footage, showing Cloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) testing out her powers. Check out the footage below and come back later for the trailer.
Plot: The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Judy Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday), but only Chris' best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.
The new movie is directed by Kim Peirce (Boys Don't Cry) and is set to hit theaters on October 18th.
"Why the f*ck would I want to watch a commercial for a commercial?"
lol. Just wait till Hollywood gets the idea you should have to sit through trailers just to see trailers, similar to the way you have to sit through trailers, ads and toothpaste adverts just to see the movie you paid ten bucks a head to see.
Just a thought but doesn't Chronicle pretty much cover nearly everything you'd expect for a modern day version of Carrie. Bullied kid with a sh*tty parent veins for acceptance from his piers but goes ballistic when the cool kids laugh at him. I'm just saying its hits a lot of the same notes.
