After finding out that "Veronica Mars" was able to raise enough money on KickStarter to make a feature film, lots of other shows are attempting to raise money for their own movies.

Thanks to FunnyOrDie, we now have April Fools videos of Jerry O'Connell pitching a "Sliders" movie, as well as Reginald VelJohnson pitching a "Family Matters" movie, which will apparently be like "Taken."

Check out the videos below, as well as pitches for Darkwing Duck, Dinosaurs, Wings.

I'd watch Urkel on the big screen.

A Sliders movie would have been great 15 years ago. Now? Not so much.

And like all Funny or Die things, this takes a humorous idea and doesn't bother to write any funny lines for people to say.

Is this article racist?

A Family Matters movie wold just go to Tyler Perry who would f*ck it up royally like he's f*cked up everything else he's managed to touch. The television show was "not bad", I admit, but no one wants a f*cking movie adaptation, not after the nearly twenty years.

Sliders? No. O'Connell left the show. So did the most enjoyable character played by John Rhys-Davies. He died. The black guy who played Rembrandt would be begging to return, sure, but not a goddamned person wants to a movie with the original cast.

A smart, slick, modern and brilliant reboot on the other hand WOULD be a rather awesome franchise, and a billion stories could be built from it. Lot of potential there.

You should pitch it to Cinemax or BBC yourself, Mink.

lol. Anyone but Syfy, right?
Rocksteddy writes:

f*ck, you can pitch it to CBS, NBC, or FOX and it would be a better show than Syfy's sh*t.

First 3 seasons of sliders were great. Right off the bat the show was humming. There was talk of a movie in the early to mid 2000's that was to bring back the original cast, creator and show runner. Oconnell was stoked. Deal fell apart but he said if it ever was possible he would do it. So maybe a real kickstarter will come from this. If they could somehow recapture the magic I'd love that

My mother thought of the last name for Dinosaurs.
The Dinosaurs tv show was about The Sinclairs which was named after the gas stations who used a dinosaur as its logo.

Yeah, many of the names in Dinosaurs were taken from oil and gas companies (fossil fuels).

Strangely enough, methane and coal are derived from dead plants (flora), not animals (fauna). Oil and natural gas are derived from plankton (little sea life).

Ironically then, virtually none of it comes from dinosaurs.

Thats a bigger misconception than Prometheus, Episode 1 and padded bras put together!
*fascinating*

Now Im off to burn some fauna

I'd watch a Sliders movie. From what I remember, it had a pretty intelligent plot.

Get the f*ck out, you sh*t stain on the foot of the fly I just squashed with a used toilet tissue.
