International "Iron Man 3" Poster Has an Interesting Difference, Can You Spot It?Submit Comment
When Marvel unveiled an "Iron Man 3" poster for The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), people were impressed with the character's menacing look. But it turns out that the studio had a slightly different version of the poster for international audiences, a version that American audiences apparently can't handle. Check out both below to see the difference.

Plot: "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

The new movie is directed by Shane Black and is set to hit theaters on May 3rd.

No bullets, big surprise there. Only Americans are smart enough to know that guns dont kill peop, bullets do.

Didn't stop The Expendables and Lord of War posters from seeing print. I blame disney.

Clearly the studio is displaying its over sensitivity of the gun debate so as to not offend potential ticket buyers. Meanwhile Star Trek has no problem, while using guns in almost all of their promos.

No, no they're absolutely identical.

In slightly related news, Putznam's lackluster review of Olympus has fallen has sold me on buying a ticket and taking the ride. I've found that if the trailer looks good and Putznam didnt like it, then it's probably pretty good.

Well, they don't want some stupid american to get influenced and get on a killing spree, like they always do.

See Americans can't tell the difference between what is real and what is not. Video Games, Movies, Books... that's all real to an American!

Good job on removing them! Americans are stupid!

Yes because a 9mm glock and the 5.56mm from an M-16 A2 is going to have any affect on the Iron Man suit ... who the f*ck thinks up this sh*t .... and it's in Russian why the hell isn't there a Kalashnikov ( AK-47 ) in the photo ? What the f*ck epic suck just leave it the way it was you over reaching c*nts .
minkowski writes:

Guns, ammo, the sh*t on the side was cropped out.

The real question is: did Americans remove the guns for American audiences, or did Russians ADD them for Russian audiences, because the previous poster with Kingsley looks more like the first shown here, IIRC.

Stupid article just to drum up controversy.

f*ck the advertising on this site sh*ts me, like the lists at the bottom. One of them says "12 food myths that are actually true". Try making sense of that one.
minkowski writes:

Not hard. They mean facts idiots mistake for myths. You know, like climate change, the fact the earth is round, and the fact "god" isn't real.

Basically three common "myths" the average American Southerner doesn't believe.
